About the Recipe
In May 2002, sisters Nabiha, 8, and Maleha Masud, 14, died after petrol was poured through the letterbox of their Tooting home and set alight in a deliberate arson attack. Shahid Mahmood and Mohammed Riaz were later convicted of murder, with the case shocking South London for the sheer cruelty of targeting a family in their own home.
Victims:
Nabiha Masud, 8.
Maleha Masud, 14.
Perpetrators: Shahid Mahmood and Mohammed Riaz (ages at conviction not widely reported).
Incident:
May 2002: Petrol poured through the letterbox of the Masud family’s home in Tooting.
House set ablaze while family were inside.
Both sisters killed in the fire.

Mahmood and Riaz convicted of murder and jailed for life.
