In March 2021, 19-year-old Tai O’Donnell was stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend, Kamila Ahmad, at his flat on Alpha Road in Croydon. Ahmad was convicted of murder in April 2023 and jailed for life with a minimum of 23 years, with the court hearing evidence of her coercive and violent behaviour.
